Process

Drawing

Every drawing is done by hand using pen on paper. I don't work from a finished sketch or try to force a specific result. The drawing develops one section at a time until it feels complete.

Scanning

When a drawing is finished, it's scanned at high resolution to preserve as much detail as possible. From there, the digital file becomes the master copy used for prints and other applications.

Application

Once a drawing has been scanned, I experiment with different ways it can exist beyond the original paper. Some pieces work well as prints. Others translate better to clothing or other formats. Every application starts with the finished drawing.
